Kanryuji Temple

This temple is built on stone steps on the west side of Mt. Tsurugata, and can be visited on foot from the Bikan Historical Quarter.

A gate and temple grounds stand partway up the hill from the historic streets, forming part of Kurashiki’s cluster of religious sites. Stone steps and slopes can be slippery, particularly in rain, so turn back if the footing feels unsafe.
