Nakahashi is a stone bridge between Kurashiki-kan and the Kurashiki Archaeological Museum. The river, white walls and willows line up in a single view.

Instead of stopping in the middle of the bridge, look back from the riverbank. You can see the bridge and buildings together without blocking the crossing.

The present stone bridge replaced a wooden bridge in 1877. Its gently raised centre made passage easier for boats. The bridge name is carved on the posts in kanji and an older form of kana.
